Our Zone
ScottishPower Renewables and Vattenfall Wind Power have been awarded development rights to Zone 5, which we are calling East Anglia Offshore Windfarm Zone. To develop the Zone, ScottishPower Renewables and Vattenfall Wind Power have formed a joint venture company called East Anglia Offshore Wind Limited (EAOW)
At its nearest point to shore, the Zone is located 14km off the coast of Norfolk and Suffolk and covers approximately 6,000 km2.
We are working with stakeholders to realise the full potential of the zone, with initial studies identifying a target capacity of up to 7,200MW, which could provide enough clean, green energy for over 5 million homes.
